Mr. Bird has practiced since 1983, with a focus on bankruptcy, restructurings and wind-downs, including creditor representation in bankruptcy proceedings and work outs on behalf of borrowers and lenders. In addition, he has represented business clients in a variety of business transactions. He has appeared in courts in Texas, Delaware, New York, Mississippi, Colorado, Arizona, Oregon, Washington and Oklahoma. Representative engagements include:

• Representation of banks as secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcies
• Representation of borrowers and lenders in work outs
• Representation of Creditor Committees
• Prosecution of and defense of avoidance actions involving, collectively, tens of millions of dollars in dispute
• Representation of buyers and sellers in chapter 11 and 7 asset sales
